Binod Karmacharya: On September 3, 2022, Water Center 21 Pahal, in collaboration with the Nepal Red Cross Society and the Rotary Club of Narayangarh, organized a successful blood donation program in Devghat Municipality. The event aimed to promote community service and voluntary blood donation, drawing participation from a diverse group of local residents.
A total of 41 individuals donated blood during the event, contributing to the vital cause of saving lives. Notably, the parents of students receiving the Water Ambassador Scholarship from Pahal were encouraged to participate as an expression of social responsibility in return for the support their children receive. Out of 25 scholarship recipient families, 5 parents stepped forward to donate blood, setting a commendable example for others in the community.
Adding to the program’s success, five Water Ambassadors volunteered their time and energy to assist with logistics, donor coordination, and awareness-building. Their involvement demonstrated the power of youth engagement in community health and solidarity.
This initiative reflects Water Center 21 Pahal’s commitment to fostering not just academic growth, but also social responsibility and active citizenship among students and their families.
