Sauna village is located in Devghat Rural Municipality, Ward no, Tanahun, Nepal. There was an acute shortage of drinking water, and the villagers are dependent on rainwater for agricultural-related farming.
To resolve this issue, the Rotary Club of Narayangarh in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Pasco Kennewick, USA, and in partnership with the Water Center 21 PAHAL is undertaking the implementation of this project. The project is implemented under the Rotary Global Grant Project. The total cost of the project is USD 46,608. Families of 35 households, 1 school, and 1 Church will be directly benefited from this project. After completion of this project, these families have access to clean & safe drinking water. Though it is small but will help to achieve SDG 2030 in Nepal. Also due to the availability of irrigation facilities, villagers will be able to uplift their livelihood by cultivating oranges and vegetable farming.
